Dr. Natasha Saunders is a Lecturer at the School of International Relations, University of St Andrews, where she also co-directs the Centre for the Critical Reimagining of Human Rights. She contributes to St Andrews' 'University of Sanctuary' initiatives.

- Specializes in global politics, political theory, and ethics of digital border controls

Her research examines forced migration, human rights, and digital border control through lenses of political responsibility, social justice, and political subjectivity. Recent work focuses on data-driven migration governance and slow violence in asylum systems.
Key publications include the monograph International Political Theory and the Refugee Problem (Routledge, 2018) and articles in Journal of Global Ethics, European Journal of Political Theory, and Millennium. Her 2023 symposium on digital border ethics co-authored with A. Sager remains influential.
