Professor Natalie West leads Curry College's Sport and Recreation Management program within the School of Business and Computer Science. She holds a master’s in sport leadership from Northeastern University and is completing her Ph.D. in educational leadership from Simmons University. Her research focuses on women in intercollegiate athletics, complemented by expertise in communications and marketing. The program leverages Boston's sports-rich environment, offering internships with pro teams (e.g., Boston Celtics) and local organizations. West emphasizes diverse career paths beyond professional sports, including athletic administration, private clubs, and sports marketing. She created an interdisciplinary History of Women in Sports course, attracting both major and business students.
