Natalie Nitsche

Natalie Nitsche is an Associate Professor of Demography at the School of Demography, Australian National University (ANU). She holds a PhD in Sociology from Yale University (2014). Her research focuses on fertility, family dynamics, gender inequalities, and the interplay of socioeconomic factors with reproductive behavior. She leads The Population Lab (Poplab) and has been actively involved in projects like the ANU Futures Scheme (2023–2026), exploring long-term fertility projections.
