Natalie Gerber

Dr. Natalie Gerber is a Professor of English at SUNY Fredonia, specializing in professional writing, poetry, and the linguistic structures of literature. She directs the Honors Program and teaches courses on grammar, style, editing, and 20th-century American literature. Her research focuses on rhythmic structures in poetry, cognitive approaches to literature, and the history of the English language. Gerber has held leadership roles in organizations like the Robert Frost Society and Wallace Stevens Society, and she serves as an associate editor of the Wallace Stevens Journal.

Her research interests include prosody, global Englishes, and intonational phonology, often intersecting with cognitive theories. Recent articles explore topics like Stevens's rhythmic theories and the interplay between sound and meaning in poetry.
