Natalia Oprea is a Research Fellow in Public Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Bocconi University, affiliated with the Government, Health & Not for Profit Knowledge Group. Since December 2018, she has collaborated with the Centre for Research on Health and Social Care Management. Previously, she served as Teaching Assistant for courses at Bocconi University and University of Siena.
She holds a PhD in Comparative and European Politics from University of Siena and a MA in Public Policies and Territorial Development from Deusto University.
Her research focuses on:
- Co-creation mechanisms in public service delivery
- Patient engagement strategies in healthcare systems
- Governance innovation in public sector organizations
- Integration of digital technologies in public services
- Healthcare policy implementation and evaluation
Her publications predominantly investigate healthcare governance reforms, shared decision-making frameworks in clinical practice, and structural analysis of national health systems, with recent emphasis on Italian healthcare transformation.
Awards include:
- Research scholarship from European Commission
- Research scholarship from Italian Ministry of Education
She contributes to research projects including Horizon CoVAL (public service value creation), ShareView (breast cancer patient engagement), and studies on technology adoption in public services. She is a key contributor to Italy's annual health system report.
