Nat Easton holds dual roles as an NIHR BRC Bridging Fellow and UKRI SPF Clean Air Programme Impact Fellow at the University of Southampton. Their research focuses on air pollution characterisation, toxicology, and health impacts, with emphasis on knowledge exchange. They completed a PhD investigating particulate matter from port sources at the National Oceanography Centre under the Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholarship through the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute.
Key research projects include studies on shipping emissions via tree bark chemical tracers and brake wear particles' respiratory effects. Recent publications (2024–2025) address port city air quality and particulate toxicity mechanisms. Awards include the Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholarship. Current work bridges environmental chemistry, public health, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
