Dr. Narantuya Ganbat is a Research Affiliate at the ANU Mongolia Institute and a Visiting Fellow at the School of Regulation and Global Governance of The Australian National University. She combines academic research with practical human rights advocacy, serving as a Commissioner at the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia.

Her research focuses on human rights law, international public law, and constitutional law, with expertise in socio-legal studies and foreign policy analysis. Her doctoral work examined the domestic impacts of international human rights treaties in Mongolia.
Dr. Ganbat has extensive professional experience, including 2016-2020 consultancy roles with international development agencies, civil society organizations, and businesses. She previously served at Mongolia's National Human Rights Commission (2004-2012) as Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Officer, and as Campaign Coordinator at Amnesty International Mongolia during the 2000s.
At ANU, she contributes to the Mongolia Institute and School of Regulation and Global Governance, working on governance frameworks, corporate social responsibility, and human rights implementation challenges.
