Dr. Naomi Pfitzner is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at Monash University and Deputy Director of the Monash Gender and Family Violence Prevention Centre. She is also an Associate Investigator with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (2023). Her work focuses on gender-based violence prevention, domestic violence, family studies, and social policy. She has led national projects, including evaluations of Victorian family violence reforms and initiatives to address the influence of the 'manosphere' in schools.
Dr. Pfitzner completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne (2016) and held postdoctoral roles at RMIT University and Monash University. She advises Australian parliamentary inquiries on domestic violence during crises and has collaborated with organizations like ANROWS, Our Watch, and the Victorian Council of Social Services.
