Nanna Andreasen

Nanna Andreasen is a PhD fellow at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, specializing in Ice, Climate and Geophysics. Her research focuses on the provenance, composition, and preservation of organic matter in marine sediments, particularly in the context of climate transitions during the Younger Dryas–Holocene period.

Her work involves interdisciplinary analysis of sediment records from the North-East Greenland shelf, integrating geochemical and geological methodologies. She collaborates internationally on projects related to paleoclimatology and marine geology.

Her recent publication in Boreas explores the link between terrestrial and marine organic matter dynamics during significant climate shifts. This research contributes to understanding long-term climate change impacts on carbon cycles.
