Marko Shuntov

Marko Shuntov is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cosmic Dawn Center (DAWN), a Center of Excellence within the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on galaxy formation and evolution during the Cosmic Dawn, leveraging cutting-edge observations from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and other major astronomical facilities.

Dr. Shuntov's primary research interests include:

• Galaxy formation and evolution in the early universe
• High-redshift galaxy observations using JWST
• Galaxy clustering and dark matter halo modeling
• Stellar mass assembly across cosmic time
• Dust-obscured and optically dark galaxies
• Morphological evolution of galaxies

His work primarily centers on analyzing data from major surveys including COSMOS-Web, Euclid, and the DAWN JWST Archive. These projects represent some of the largest observational efforts to understand galaxy evolution from the cosmic dawn to the present day. His research combines multi-wavelength observational data with theoretical modeling to constrain fundamental processes of galaxy formation.
