معرفی
Conor John Ryan McPartland is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cosmic Dawn Center (DAWN) within the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on observational cosmology and galaxy formation in the early universe, with particular expertise in analyzing data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and the Euclid mission.
His research interests span astrophysics, cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution, high-redshift universe studies, JWST observations, Euclid mission data analysis, galaxy morphology, and active galactic nuclei. McPartland's work primarily investigates galaxy evolution during the cosmic dawn period, examining how galaxies formed and evolved in the first few billion years after the Big Bang.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on analyzing galaxy properties at high redshifts using cutting-edge telescope data, with particular attention to galaxy size-mass relations, quiescent galaxies, protoclusters, and the connection between galaxy properties and Lyman-alpha emission. His work with the Cosmic Dawn Center involves preparing for and analyzing data from the Euclid mission, which aims to map the geometry of the dark Universe.
McPartland collaborates extensively with international research teams across multiple major astronomical surveys and missions. His publications appear in leading astronomy journals including Astronomy & Astrophysics and The Astrophysical Journal.
