Nancy Andrews serves as an Associate Professor at the College of the Holy Cross with primary appointment in the Department of Classics and cross-disciplinary roles in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies and Peace and Conflict Studies. She additionally functions as a Health Professions Advisor, guiding students toward medical and health-related careers.
Her academic foundation includes a Ph.D. earned from Harvard University, establishing her expertise in classical studies.
Professor Andrews' research concentrates on ancient literary traditions, specifically Hellenistic poetry, Greek and Roman epic poetry, and Greek and Roman mythology. These specialized fields illuminate cultural narratives and literary evolution in classical antiquity, bridging historical scholarship with contemporary interpretations of foundational texts.
