Dr. Nana Arthur-Mensah serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, Criminal Justice & Organizational Leadership within Northern Kentucky University's College of Arts and Sciences.
Her academic credentials include:
- Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development, University of Louisville (2015)
- M.S. in Human Resource Education, University of Louisville (2007)
- B.B.A. in Business Administration, University of Ghana (1993)
Her research program investigates work-based learning systems as catalysts for human resource and economic development, with specialized focus on technical vocational education and training (TVET) in emerging markets. She examines skills development frameworks for future workforces, apprenticeship models, and gender dynamics in non-traditional occupational pathways, drawing from her multinational industry experience across insurance, banking, and manufacturing sectors.
Dr. Arthur-Mensah teaches leadership theory, organizational change management, and research methodology courses. Her professional background spanning Ghana, United Kingdom, and United States contexts informs her cross-cultural approach to workforce development. She maintains active engagement with international TVET systems and women's occupational integration initiatives.
