Ernest Alema-Mensah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health & Preventive Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine. With a distinguished career spanning over thirty years, Dr. Alema-Mensah holds multiple advanced degrees that reflect his interdisciplinary approach to public health and medicine.
Dr. Alema-Mensah's educational background includes a PhD in International Public Health from Clark Atlanta University, a DMin from Columbia Theological Seminary, an MDiv from the Interdenominational Theological Center, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Clark Atlanta University, a Graduate Diploma from the University of Ghana, and a BS in Mathematics and Chemistry from the University of Ghana. This unique combination of mathematical, clinical, technological, and theological training informs his holistic approach to health equity research.
His research spans multiple critical areas in public health, with particular emphasis on health disparities affecting African American communities.
