Namrata Krishnan, MBBS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Nephrology) at Yale School of Medicine, based at the VA Hospital in West Haven, CT. She serves as the Site Program Director for the Yale and UCONN Nephrology Fellowship Programs at the VA. Dr. Krishnan completed her MBBS at Lady Hardinge Medical College (2001), followed by Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut and Nephrology Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research focuses on renal physiology, hemodialysis, and medical education innovations. She pioneered an e-learning curriculum in hemodialysis, earning the American Society of Nephrology’s Innovations in Kidney Education award. She leads a multidisciplinary nephrology-palliative care program at the VA, emphasizing conservative kidney management. Active in professional organizations, she chairs the National Kidney Foundation’s Education Committee and serves on editorial boards of Kidney360 and Clinical Nephrology.
