Nahid Ahmadian

Nahid Ahmadian is a Professional Track Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature (2022) and a Ph.D. in English Literature (University of Tehran). Her research focuses on Iranian theater post-1979, British historical dramas, and literary translation. She has published translations of key Iranian plays and co-edited an anthology of post-revolutionary Iranian theater (forthcoming from Seagull Books).

Teaching: Courses include World Literature & Social Change (CMLT270), Persian Literature in Translation (PERS371), and Academic Writing (ENGL101). She emphasizes cross-cultural dialogue and critical analysis in her pedagogy.
