Nadia Terrazzini is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Immunology at the University of Brighton, affiliated with the School of Applied Sciences, Centre for Lifelong Health, and Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Devices. She also serves as Associate Y2 Biology Course Leader and School Liaison Officer for BSMS Medical School.
Her research explores host-microbiota interactions, focusing on T cell responses to chronic CMV infections in older adults and immune modulation in skin diseases/wound healing. She employs interdisciplinary approaches bridging immunology, biomaterials, and age-related disease studies.
Recent publications highlight her work on biomimetic wound dressings, CMV-immune ageing associations, and microbiota-driven inflammatory responses. Her team collaborates extensively with Brighton and Sussex Medical School and participates in EPSRC-funded projects like A biomimetic macromolecular platform for tissue healing.
