Dr. Daniela Teixeira is a Research Fellow in Immunology at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), a partnership between the University of Sussex and University of Brighton. She joined Professor Florian Kern's research team in 2022, focusing on T-cell responses in infection and ageing. Previously, she spent 14 years at Brazil's Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP) as a Biomedical Technician and postdoctoral researcher.

Research Expertise: Her laboratory-based translational work investigates immune modulation in infectious diseases (including HIV and leishmaniasis), cardiovascular immunology, autoimmune disorders, and ageing. She specializes in flow cytometry applications, cellular immunology mechanisms, and vaccine adjuvant development using models like Propionibacterium acnes.
