Dr. Nadia Singh is Professor of Biology at the University of Oregon, specializing in evolutionary genetics and genome dynamics. Her NIH and NSF-funded research investigates recombination and mutation rate variation.
The Singh Lab employs experimental evolution in Drosophila to examine how recombination landscapes evolve under selection pressures. Current projects analyze Wolbachia-induced phenotypic plasticity and thermal adaptation effects on genomic architecture.
Awards:
- Andrew Carnegie Fellowship (2017)
- NSF CAREER Award
She directs graduate training initiatives and maintains active collaborations in population genomics and computational biology.
