Professor Nadia Mazza is a faculty member at Lancaster University, affiliated with the School of Mathematical Sciences. She holds the title of Professor in Pure Mathematics and leads the Pure Maths Section and Algebra & Geometry research group.
- Burnside rings and Mackey functors
- Finite and profinite group theory
- Modular representations: endotrivial and endo-permutation modules
- Group cohomology and fusion systems
- Applications in algebraic topology
Her research spans modular representation theory of finite and profinite groups, with a focus on cohomological methods, fusion systems, and connections to Mackey functors. Current projects include grants from the Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research and London Mathematical Society initiatives.
Professor Mazza supervises PhD students in algebraic topics and has contributed to co-organizing international workshops, including at the Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach.
