Deniz Yılmaz

Deniz Yılmaz is Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Bilkent University researching finite group representations and categorical structures. Specializes in biset functors, fusion systems, and equivalence problems in modular representation theory.

Holds PhD from UC Santa Cruz and completed postdoctoral research at Universities of Picardie and Jena. Recipient of prestigious awards including TÜBİTAK Career Grant and BAGEP Young Scientist Award.

Teaches undergraduate algebra and calculus courses while developing frameworks for stable functorial equivalences in block theory. Member of inaugural European Mathematical Society Young Academy cohort.
