Nadia Kornioti

Nadia Kornioti is an Associate Lecturer in International and Comparative Public Law at UCLan Cyprus since 2018. She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Central Lancashire (2022), an LLM in Public International Law from University College London (2011), and an LLB from the University of Leicester (2010). She has held roles including Migration Officer at the Cyprus Red Cross (2015–2017) and Child Protection Officer at Hope for Children CRC Policy Centre (2014–2015). Her research focuses on Public International Law, Refugee Law, Legal History, and Transitional Justice, with recent work exploring pandemic impacts on academia and island sovereignty dynamics. She has contributed to projects like the Horizon-funded PREPARED initiative (2022–2025) and authored publications such as The Law and Politics of the ‘Cyprus Troubles’ (1960–1968) (forthcoming 2025). Kornioti is actively involved in academic governance, serving on the UCLan Cyprus Senate and Research & Innovation Committee. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges legal theory with historical and sociological methodologies.

Her policy contributions include reports on EU anti-racism frameworks and cyber violence against women.
