Her research focuses on critical nation branding, public diplomacy, and promotional culture in post-communist contexts. She examines how national identities in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union are constructed through media, markets, and power dynamics. Her work often intersects with neoliberalism, gender studies, and postmodern critiques of media representation.
Key article themes include gender dynamics in public diplomacy, neoliberal remaking of post-war states, and hypermediated national identities. Her publications analyze case studies from Ukraine's wartime branding to Islamic State's ideological challenges to nation-state paradigms.
