Dr. Nadia Craddock is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Appearance Research (CAR) within the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). She specializes in body image, disordered eating, corporate social responsibility, and colourism. Nadia leads large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects focused on developing body image interventions for children and young people, collaborating with organizations like UNICEF and Girl Effect in Indonesia. She also supports a UKRI-funded grant on colourism led by Dr. Aisha Phoenix.
Education:

- Ed.M. Human Development and Psychology, Harvard University (2015)
- Ph.D. in Psychology (focused on corporate social responsibility in advertising industries), UWE Bristol (2020)
Research Interests: Her work intersects global health interventions, colourism’s sociocultural impacts, and corporate responsibility. She emphasizes science communication through talks, podcasts, and media commentary with outlets like British Vogue and NPR. Nadia co-hosts the CAR podcast Appearance Matters.
