Nadia Ameli

Professor Nadia Ameli is a Full Professor of Climate Finance at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy & Resources, University College London, and Research Director at UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources (UCL ISR). Since 2024, she has led the Working Group on Economics and Finance for The Lancet Countdown, offering critical insights into health-climate-financial intersections. She contributes to the Cambridge 1.5°C-Aligned Corporate Bond Index working group.

These works emphasize policy interventions and equity considerations in global climate finance distribution. As a doctoral supervisor, she has guided research on renewable energy scalability, blended finance mechanisms, and climate disclosure outcomes. Her projects have secured funding from Green Climate Fund, UKERC Flexi Fund, European Research Council, and EU HORIZON initiatives, focusing on international climate finance equity, market structures, and Paris Agreement alignment.
