Dr. Matthew Winning is a Lecturer (Teaching) in the Economics of Sustainability at the Bartlett School of Environment, Energy & Resources, University College London. He combines expertise in environmental economics with public engagement through climate comedy, hosting BBC Radio 4's Net Zero: A Very British Problem, and authoring the acclaimed book Hot Mess: What On Earth Can We Do About Climate Change.

- Former Roles: Senior Research Fellow (2012-2023) at UCL, Head of Climate Research at Oxford Economics (2023-2024).
