Nabiyla Risfa Izzati is a Labour Law Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), specializing in Indonesian Labour Law, gig economy dynamics, and gender-work intersections. She holds a Master of Law from Leiden University and completed her undergraduate studies at UGM.
Her doctoral research at Queen Mary University of London's Centre for Research in Equality and Diversity examines gender biases in Indonesia's gig economy, focusing on women's working conditions and systemic challenges. She serves as Vice Director of UGM's Research Center for Law, Gender, and Society; Adjunct Researcher at the Centre for Digital Society (Fisipol UGM); and Researcher for Fairwork Indonesia.
Key research themes include platform labor rights, non-standard employment relationships, and legal protections for vulnerable worker groups. Her work bridges sociolegal analysis with policy advocacy, particularly addressing gaps in Indonesia's regulatory framework for gig workers.
