Myrto Dimitriou is a Research Fellow and Early Career Researcher (ECR) Member at Durham University’s Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing, and a Postgraduate Fellow in the Institute for Medical Humanities. She holds a BA in Social Policy and Social Anthropology from Panteion University, an MSc in HR & Business Organization from Rome Business School, and Business Coaching credentials from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. A certified origami instructor with the Nippon Origami Association, she is renowned for her Guinness World Records in origami mosaics.
Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the 'Virtual Office in the Metaverse,' exploring how AI, the Metaverse, and Virtual Reality can enhance productivity and creativity in organizational settings. As an MSCA research fellow in the AGORA project, she investigates virtual workspace dynamics and the interplay between technology, professional identity, and team dynamics. Her work integrates social anthropology with innovative educational methodologies.
Myrto combines over 15 years of experience in designing motivational educational programs—attended by 160,000+ participants—with her expertise in creativity, operational efficiency, and team-building. She advocates for leveraging emerging technologies to transform organizational practices and learning environments.
