Myra Sookraj-Baran is a Lecturer in Nursing at Charles Sturt University, with a focus on clinical education, leadership, and person-centred care. She has over 15 years of experience in acute care nursing and healthcare education, spanning roles in private hospitals, academic institutions, and accreditation organizations.

In 2025, she co-authored a scoping review on adolescent and young adult nicotine vaping experiences, highlighting qualitative insights into motivations and health behaviors. The study aligns with her focus on health promotion and education.
Myra serves as an accreditation assessor for immunisation courses at Health Education Services Australia (HESA) and has held academic roles at the Australian College of Nursing and Key2Learning College, coordinating clinical education and bridging programs.
