Myra Swintz

Myra Swintz serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Indiana University South Bend's Vera Z. Dwyer College of Health Sciences, where she teaches nursing care of communities and integrates evidence-based practice into patient care and education.

• Undergraduate degree from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing
• Master's degree from Indiana University Indianapolis as a board certified Adult and Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist

She specializes in home infusion therapy and advocates for nurse-directed care models, with expertise spanning gerontological nursing, evidence-based practice implementation, and home health care systems.

Myra holds CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion) certification and actively contributes to the Infusion Nurse Society. She currently chairs the Infusion Nurse Certification Corporation board of directors while maintaining clinical practice through part-time home health nursing at St. Joseph VNA Home Care/Trinity Health at Home in Mishawaka, Indiana—a role she has held since 1999.
