Prof. Mustafa Cahit Ungan is a full-time Professor at the Department of Business Administration Communication, Faculty of Business Administration, Sakarya University. He holds a PhD from the University of South Carolina (2002) and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University (1998). His research focuses on supply chain management, operations management, production systems, and quality management, with notable contributions to risk mitigation strategies in automotive and defense industries. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed articles in indexed journals and books, including works on supply chain responsiveness and occupational health safety costs. Prof. Ungan has supervised 12 doctoral and 9 master’s theses, with recent advisees addressing topics like solar energy site selection and supply chain risk analysis. He teaches courses in production management, process analysis, and logistics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He serves as an editorial board member for journals like İşletme Enstitüsü Dergisi and has coordinated Erasmus programs at Sakarya University. His academic leadership roles include Department Chair (2019–present) and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration (2015).
