Murielle Provost is a Program Coordinator and Instructor in the Department of Organizational Management at Cape Breton University. Her career spans 24 years in emergency management, working with governments, communities, healthcare, and non-profit organizations to develop and improve emergency management programs.
She has responded to major crises including the H1N1 flu pandemic (2009), SARS epidemic (2003), 1998 Ice Storm of the Century, and the Swissair 111 crash. Her expertise includes residential/commercial fires, forest fires, floods, hazardous material spills, and severe weather events.
