Muriel Guerrin

Muriel Guerrin is a Lecturer in Private Law at the University of Franche-Comté, affiliated with the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Management. She is a member of the CRJFC (Centre de Recherche sur le Juge et la Justice en France et en Suisse), focusing on criminal procedure, procedural nullities, criminal law, and investigation/instruction processes.

Research Interests: Her work explores the intersection of criminal and private law, emphasizing procedural compliance, judicial oversight, and the rights of parties in criminal proceedings. She analyzes covert investigations, compensation for damages in criminal cases, and special procedures for organized crime.

Publications & Contributions: Guerrin has authored chapters in the Eclectic Franco-Swiss Legal Dictionary (2025) addressing procedural harmonization between France and Switzerland. Her earlier works examine labor law challenges (2007), procedural nullities in criminal trials (2008), access to judicial remedies (2013), and reforms to pre-trial procedures (2000).
