Murat Sakir Erogul is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean at the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, Adelphi University. He holds a Ph.D. in Business and Management Systems / Entrepreneurship from the University of Lincoln and has previously held academic positions in Canada, UAE, and Turkey. His interdisciplinary research bridges entrepreneurship, gender studies, organizational behavior, and cross-cultural management.

Dr. Erogul's research focuses on entrepreneurial identity, gender dynamics in entrepreneurship, leadership in complex organizations, and social capital. He investigates how cultural, regional, and institutional contexts shape entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviors, especially among women in Turkey, UAE, Ghana, and Mexico. His work critically examines power relations, patriarchal structures, and identity negotiation in both entrepreneurial and military settings.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong trend in qualitative and interdisciplinary studies on female entrepreneurship, organizational culture transfer, and leadership in global contexts. The research spans fields such as gender and organization, social entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural leadership, often employing critical management and identity theories.
His scientific awards include multiple Bender Research Fellowship Awards (2021, 2022, 2024), recognition for best papers, and the 2007 Exemplary Teacher Award from Zayed University.

He is actively involved in research labs and teams focused on entrepreneurship, gender, and organizational development, particularly through his collaborations with international scholars and participation in global research initiatives like GEM. His work continues to explore the intersection of identity, culture, and entrepreneurial agency in diverse socio-political contexts.
