معرفی
Murat Pala is a Professor of Civil Engineering at Adiyaman University's Faculty of Engineering. He holds a Doctorate from Sakarya University (2004) and has served as Dean of the Engineering Faculty at Adiyaman University (2014–2016, 2019–present). His research focuses on structural engineering, materials science, and applications of artificial neural networks in civil engineering. Key areas include soil-structure interaction, cold-formed steel analysis, and renewable energy systems.
Education:
- Ph.D., Natural Sciences, Sakarya University (1997–2004)
- M.Sc., Natural Sciences, Sakarya University (2001–2006)
- B.Sc., Civil Engineering, Sakarya University (1997–2001)
Research interests span structural dynamics, material behavior under load, and computational modeling. Notable contributions include formulations for distortional buckling stress in steel structures and neural network-based prediction models for concrete properties. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles, with recent work on earthquake damage assessment and solar pond insulation effects.
Administrative roles include Dean of Engineering (Adiyaman University) and editorships at journals like Adıyaman Üniversitesi Mühendislik Bilimleri Dergisi. His professional experience includes academic leadership at Kilis 7 Aralık University and Gaziantep University.
