Prof. Dr. Murat KALEMOĞLU is a Professor of General Surgery at Üsküdar University's Faculty of Medicine. He holds dual roles as Vice Dean of the Medical Faculty and former Vice Dean of the Health Sciences Faculty. With extensive administrative experience, he has chaired the Department of General Surgery and led numerous commissions including Quality Committee and Academic Board. He completed his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Academy (1987), earning a PhD in General Surgery (1994). His academic titles include Associate Professor (2011) and Professor (2016).
His research focuses on disaster medicine, trauma surgery, and medical law with over 70 publications. Notable contributions include studies on dill's therapeutic effects in thyroid disorders, trauma score validation, and emergency stroke care delays. He has authored books on trauma prevention strategies, emergency surgery, and disaster management.
Awarded for contributions to Turk-Azerbaijan relations (2020) and conference excellence (2004), Prof. Kalemoglu is a member of Turkish Medical Association, European Trauma Surgery Association, and multiple surgical societies. His current roles include Board Member of Clinical Ethics Committee and YÖKAK Evaluator.
