Murail Estelle is a Lecturer in British Literature at the Institut Catholique de Paris since 2017. She co-directs the 'Victorian Persistence' and 'Environmental Humanities' seminars at LARCA (Laboratoire de Recherche sur les Cultures Anglophones), and serves as Director of both the English Department and Master of English Studies programs at ICP.

Research Interests examine urban social space construction through literary flânerie, environmental consciousness in 19th-century texts, and sensory experiences in Victorian cityscapes. Her work intersects with Environmental Humanities and Urban Studies, analyzing how literary representations shape cultural understandings of urban environments.
Key publications include studies on Dickens's London, Poe's urban mystery, and Baudelaire's flâneurs. She supervises graduate research in Victorian literature and urban representations through her seminars at LARCA.
