Muntasir Shami is an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship at Aston Business School (Aston University) and a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford's Department of Economics and Centre for the Study of African Economics (CSAE). He holds a PhD in Economics from Aston University (2018) and focuses on Development Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Institutional Change. His research includes field experiments in Zimbabwe/Zambia targeting microenterprises, collaborations with Boston Consulting Group and Saudi Arabia's HRDF-BSU on labor market interventions, and policy advising. He leads the International Business and Management (IBAM) undergraduate program, overseeing curriculum design, assessment quality, and student engagement. Key roles include course director for IBAM, sub-team leader for academic consistency, and contributor to Aston's online education initiatives.
