Munshi Hossain

His research expertise spans Biodegradable Polymers, Polymer Adhesives, Organic Chemistry, and Supramolecular Chemistry, with specialization in Light-Responsive Materials and π-Conjugated Systems. During his doctoral studies under Prof. Subhajit Bandyopadhyay, he designed azobenzene/dihydropyrene-based molecular switches and tetraphenylethylene/porphyrin functional building blocks. His current work at UCSB focuses on advancing biodegradable polymer and adhesive technologies within the Read de Alaniz group, contributing to sustainable materials science.

He operates within the Read de Alaniz research ecosystem at UCSB, which integrates synthetic chemistry with polymer engineering to address materials sustainability challenges.
