Muna B. Ndulo is the William Nelson Cromwell Professor of International & Comparative Law at Cornell Law School and serves as the Elizabeth and Arthur Reich Director of the Leo and Arvilla Berger International Legal Studies Program. He holds additional academic roles as Honorary Professor at the University of Cape Town, Extraordinary Professor at the University of the Free State and University of the Western Cape (South Africa), and former Dean of the University of Zambia Law School.
His research focuses on constitutional law, governance, international criminal law, and African legal systems. He has authored 19 books, 29 book chapters, and over 100 academic articles. Ndulo has advised numerous international organizations including the UN, World Bank, and African Development Bank on legal and governance matters.
Notable recognitions include the Grand Commander of the Order of the Companion of Freedom (Zambia, 2025) and his UN appointment to combat sexual exploitation allegations. He leads the Institute for African Development at Cornell and founded the Southern African Institute for Public Policy and Research (SAIPAR). His consultancy work spans constitutional reforms in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Somalia, and Sudan.
