Muhammad Aqmai

Muhammad Aqmai serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Dramatic Arts at the Faculty of Arts and Media, University of Tripoli, where he has been employed since June 1, 2000. He concurrently holds the administrative position of Head of the Quality and Performance Evaluation Department and the Documentation and Information Unit.

His academic credentials include a Postgraduate Diploma (2003), Master's degree in Theatre Criticism (2007), and PhD in Criticism (2017), all obtained through sustained scholarly progression at the University of Tripoli.

Dr. Aqmai's research centers on Libyan theatrical ecosystems and structural analysis of dramatic works, with particular focus on industry challenges and playwright-specific techniques. His methodology combines cultural criticism with institutional analysis to document evolving performance traditions in North Africa.

His 2022 publications demonstrate concentrated expertise in contemporary Libyan theatre dynamics and classical Arabic dramatic forms, revealing consistent thematic engagement with regional artistic identity and structural innovation despite political turbulence.
