Hanan Abu Shuwaireb

Dr. Hanan Abu Shuwaireb is an Associate Professor and Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Tripoli, where she has been serving since 1998. She has held various administrative positions including Head of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy (2016-2017), Postgraduate Studies Coordinator (2017-2022), and Head of the Department of Cultural Relations and International Cooperation (2022-2024).

Dr. Abu Shuwaireb's research spans multiple areas of pharmacology and clinical pharmacy with a focus on:

• Alzheimer's disease and cognitive health
• Diabetes management and metabolic disorders
• Rheumatoid arthritis and biosimilar therapies
• Neonatal infections and antibiotic resistance in Libya
• Osteoporosis management in breast cancer patients
