Dr. Mudassar Hasan is an academic at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, specializing in Finance and Accounting. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Massey University (New Zealand) and an M.Phil. in Finance from Lahore Business School (Pakistan). His research focuses on Financial Contagion, Climate Finance, FinTech, and Uncertainty, with publications in high-impact journals like Energy Economics and Journal of Environmental Management. Dr. Hasan has presented at conferences worldwide, including the British Academy of Management and the Eurasian Business and Economics Society Conference.
He currently teaches modules in Careers in Accounting, Economics, and Finance, and supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations. Dr. Hasan is the Managing Editor of the Asian Finance Research Journal and serves on advisory boards for Heliyon Business and Economics. He has received prestigious awards, including the 2020 Dean's List of Exceptional Doctoral Theses and the 2022 Best Researcher Award.
