Mpho Dube

Mpho Dube is a Lecturer in Midwifery at Charles Darwin University (CDU), affiliated with the College of Nursing & Midwifery and the Faculty of Health. With 15 years of clinical midwifery experience in Darwin and Africa, she advocates for woman-centered care and research to improve midwifery practices in resource-constrained settings. Her expertise includes refugee healthcare, maternal health, and midwifery education.

Education: PhD (Higher Degree by Research, CDU Faculty of Health) and Master of International Health (Curtin University).

Research Interests: Focused on enhancing midwifery care for marginalized populations, particularly refugees. Her work addresses cultural competency, maternal outcomes, and equitable healthcare policies. Current projects include evaluating midwifery group practices for refugee women and assessing pandemic impacts on maternal well-being.
