Mounia Chadi is a Visiting Professor at the International Development and Global Studies program within the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ottawa. She is also a Program Officer for Women's Rights and Gender Equality at the Quebec Association of International Cooperation Organizations (AQOCI) and co-founded multiple advocacy networks, including the Quebec Committee on Women and Development and the Gender in Practice community of practice.

Her research focuses on decolonizing knowledge systems for racialized and marginalized indigenous populations in the Global South, examining intersections of power, coloniality, and social justice. She explores themes like:
- Decolonial theories and anti-colonial resistance
- Postcolonial feminism and gender in development
- Systemic racism and racial profiling
- Indigenous peoples' rights and empowerment
- Neoliberalism and extractive megaprojects
She has over 20 years of experience in grassroots activism for women's rights, economic journalism, and sociological research on migration and decolonization in international cooperation. Her work includes policy analysis for immigrant and racialized women in Quebec, and she is an award-winning playwright recognized for literary contributions to immigrant women's narratives.
