Mostafa Minawi is a Professor of History at Cornell University and Director of the Critical Ottoman and Post-Ottoman Studies initiative. His research focuses on the experiential history of global imperial events, particularly through Ottoman, Turkish, and Arabic archival records.

Key awards include a National Humanities Center Fellowship (2024-25) and fellowships at Remarque Institute, ANAMED, and EUME. He has contributed to TED-Ed animated educational content and public discourse through op-eds in The Hill, Wall Street Journal, and Haaretz.
