Mostafa Almasraf is a Research Assistant and Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil Engineering at Özyeğin University's Faculty of Engineering. With a professional background in structural design and site management from 2011–2015, he transitioned to academia after completing his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering at Istanbul University (2018). His current research is funded by a TUBITAK project focused on embankments constructed on soft soils.
- B.Sc.: Civil Engineering, University of Zawia (2011)
- M.Sc.: Civil Engineering, Istanbul University (2018)
- Ph.D.: Civil Engineering, Özyeğin University (ongoing)
His research expertise spans soil-structure interaction, liquefaction analysis, and discrete element modeling of macro/micro soil behavior. He actively contributes to geotechnical engineering through numerical simulations and field studies, including EU Horizon2020 initiatives.
Recent publications highlight his work on embankment stability, geogrid reinforcement, and liquefaction mitigation strategies. Key projects include ground characterization studies in Çanakkale and Adapazari seismic risk assessments.
