Atila Sezen

Res.Asst.Dr. Atila Sezen is a Researcher at the Civil Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from ITU (1992) and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Boğaziçi University (1990). His work focuses on earthquake engineering, geotechnics, soil mechanics, and geotechnical design standards. He has authored key studies on soil liquefaction, earthquake-induced damage assessment, and geotechnical behavior during seismic events. His recent publications include analyses of the 2011 Van earthquake's impacts and advancements in TBDY-2018 geotechnical design methodologies.
