Morten Kjaerum is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Aalborg, Denmark, and serves as Director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law in Lund, Sweden. His work focuses on human rights frameworks during global crises, particularly pandemics and inequality mitigation.
Research interests include human rights compliance in health emergencies, equality, and post-crisis policy development. He co-edited the book COVID-19 and Human Rights (2021), which examines pandemic impacts through a human rights lens, emphasizing vulnerability, inequality, and legal frameworks.
