Dr Morgan Farley is a Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology's Faculty of Health, School of Nursing. An Accredited Exercise Physiologist specializing in cancer care, she has established herself as an award-winning early career researcher who has secured over $1 million in competitive grant funding as Chief Investigator.
Her research program focuses on using supportive care strategies—particularly exercise interventions—to improve treatment responses and outcomes for cancer patients and survivors. Dr Farley completed her PhD in 2023, which investigated high intensity interval training's effects on immune function, fitness, and body composition in cancer survivors.
Her publication record demonstrates expertise across multiple research methodologies including randomized control trials, implementation research, co-design approaches, cohort studies, and feasibility trials. Her work spans the intersection of exercise physiology, oncology, and clinical practice, with particular emphasis on immune function, body composition, and fitness outcomes.
She has contributed significantly to education, developing and accrediting a master's program in Clinical Exercise Physiology and serving as course coordinator for subjects including exercise prescription for cancer populations. Dr Farley also guest lectures undergraduate students on exercise prescription for cancer populations.
